Off the north west coast of Scotland lies the Outer Hebrides, a chain of islands also known as the Western Isles.
Isle of Harris is the southern part of the Isle of Lewis and Harris which is the biggest island of the Outer Hebrides.
On the west side of Harris, one finds some of the most beautiful beaches of Scotland such as Luskentyre, Seilebost and Scarista. I am always mesmerized by the white sand beaches with their emerald water when I make my visits to Harris. It's always a challenge to photograph the area as it is exposed to the wild Atlantic Ocean with the ever changing weather conditions. On occasions one is blessed with this beautiful ethereal light when you are willing to brave for the elements.
